ABOUT US

Who we are

Welcome to Health and Water Foundation (HWF), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the well-being of underserved communities in Kenya. Established in 2003, bearing registration no.OP.218/051/2003/0120/2729, HWF has been working tirelessly to address the pressing issues of health, water, sanitation, and the environment for the rural and urban poor. Our organization recognizes that access to basic needs such as clean water, sanitation facilities, and adequate education are fundamental human rights, and we strive to create sustainable solutions that uplift deprived communities.

HWF is committed to promoting education and empowering the girl-child through access to clean water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education. Our programs also focus on early childhood education, community capacity building, and poverty eradication. We believe that good health is crucial for a child’s well-being and their ability to learn, which is why we have a School Health Program. Additionally, we promote sustainable environmental practices through agroforestry and reforestation. Our goal is to improve the lives of marginalized communities and create a sustainable future for all by addressing the root causes of poverty.

Being a not-for-profit organization, HWF is happy and ready to partner with organizations that share our vision and mission to society.

Our Vision

Our vision is to realize a Kenya where all communities have equal access to necessities, and where individuals and families are empowered to break the cycle of poverty and live healthy, fulfilling lives. We strive to create a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to their communities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve the well-being and quality of life of underserved communities in Kenya by providing targeted and sustainable solutions to basic needs such as access to clean water, sanitation facilities, quality education, and promoting sustainable environmental practices.
