Programs

What We Offer

At Health and Water Foundation (HWF), all our programs are geared towards our main objective which is promoting and availing clean water, better health, and climate change response as it affects the sustainable and equitable delivery of health and water among the rural and urban poor. Our programs fall under the following six interventions:

Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH)

HWF endeavors to increase access to clean water and sanitation facilities in targeted schools and their surrounding communities.

School Health & Education

As one of our pillar interventions, we endeavor to improved the learning environment and increase access to education for vulnerable children, adults, and ECD centres

Climate Change Adaptation

HWF recognizes the urgent need to address climate change, which not only affects the environment but also exacerbates access to water, health, poverty, and the vulnerability of marginalized communities. Our climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts focus on strengthening the resilience of communities and their livelihoods, especially in rural areas.

Agroforestry & Reforestation

Deforestation and poor land management practices have had a significant impact on water, health, and the environment, leading to soil erosion, loss of biodiversity, and reduced water availability. To combat these challenges, HWF implements agroforestry and reforestation programs in partnership with local and international organizations.

Community Health Programs

In order to create a healthy environment for targeted vulnerable children, HWF endeavors to improve prevention of endemic diseases in schools with teachers as agents of change

Equality & Community Development

At the heart of HWF is the surrounding communities economic welfare. HWF endeavors to boost socio-economical standards of the region covered within its project scope.

All our interventions aim at  contributing towards the development of primary education, increasing of access to quality water and sanitation facilities for the girl-child, preventing endemic diseases in primary schools and improving the economic welfare of women and youth.
