Projects IMPLEMENTED
At the Health and Water Foundation (HWF) we have been transforming communities in Kenya through sustainable initiatives in Health, Water and Environmental Sanitation (WES) since 2003. Some of our notable projects include:
- Integrated Development approach through training and infrastructure to improve Education, Health, WATSAN and hygiene in Manga Cluster area in Lake Victoria region, Kenya, 2010-2012 funded by INTERVITA, ITALY.
- Integrated Development approach through training and infrastructure to improve Education, Health, WATSAN and hygiene in Manga Cluster area in Lake Victoria region, Kenya.
- Promoting Behaviour Change among the Youth-Manga and Nyamira Districts, Nyanza Province, Kenya.
- School Water Supply and sanitation improvement in Isiolo District, Kenya.
- Nubia Basic Integrated Infrastructure Development Project (NUBID) in Kisii District, Kenya.
- Integrated Approach to Research on Water, Sanitation and Solid Waste Management in Small Urban Centers in the Lake Victoria Region.
- Training and Capacity Building on Improved Safe Water Supply, Public Sanitation, Solid Waste Management, and River Protection from pollution in three low-Income Estates of Kisii Municipality.
- Sexual Maturation Training among Primary School Girls Nutritional Care and Support for HIV/AIDS-OVC and their families in Nyamira District, Nyanza province.
- School Water and Sanitation Program (SWAP) in Nyamira and Manga Districts, Kenya.
- Assistance to IDPs in Ekerenyo, Kisii and Keroka – following the post-election disturbances. Funds and non-food items (NFIs) are being provided by UNHCR and UNICEF.
